Golden Mango Dessert Pizza

The pretty pretty golden blaze of sumptuous mango , a treat for the eye and dessert to tongue.

Lets see into the making of this mango dessert pizza.....

Gather your ingredients:-

A readymade cake base/ flat sponge cake

A large mango

a jar of sugar

gelatine for the glazing

Custard: custard powder

250ml milk

2Tbs sugar

Mix all the ingredients in to a pan and boil to a thick consistency whilst stirring continuous.

Allow the custard to cool down to the room temp.

In the mean while.....

Take a large mango and peel it with a peeler.

Cut thin slices with a sharp knife.

Cut those slices into half.

Keep the slices ready.

the custard has now cooled down to room temperature.

Pour it over the cake base.

With a blunt knife or a spatula spread it evenly to form a thick layer on the cake.

begin arranging the mango slices , slightly overlapping each other, from outside towards the center.

when done it looks like a large rose.

There will be some space left in the center.

Fill up this empty space with red currants or strawberry slices.

The next step is to prepare the glaze. Either buy a readymade glazing or prepare one using gelatin, a tsp sugar and 1/4 cup water. Boil it. When still warm, with a tablespoon gently apply the glazing over the whole surface.

Keep it in the fridge till served.

Serve cool.
