Gorgeous Flower Vase

DSCN4187.JPG

I love seeing flowers around my home. But I'll admit to being forgetful and not changing out water when needed, so real flowers don't last long. So I've taught myself how to make gorgeous vases with fake flowers. Even better - you can switch out the flowers for the season. This vase is my summer look.

Supplies

1 Vase (pick one that you like. This one is pretty neutral, so it works with all seasons.)

Wire Cutters

Rubber band (for some reason I didn't have one around, so I used a hair tie)

Flowers (I picked a main flower and then two filler flowers.)

Measure

I placed my flowers in the vase and estimated when I wanted them cut. It doesn't have to be exact. I mixed up different height levels to fill out the vase.

Cut

Use the wire cutters to trim the flowers to length.

Arrange and Tie

Arrange your flowers so they look nice. Intersperse them so they aren't all clumpy. Using your rubber band (or hair tie in my case) tie the flowers tightly together. Slide the band to the approximate middle of the stems.

Place in Vase

Place your flowers in the vase. Make any final adjustments. And enjoy!
