Green Nachos

This is my instructable for some epic green nachos. They have all the basic essentials that you would find in your traditional nachos. The only difference with my recipe is the green salsa verde instead of red salsa or tomatoes and of course the most important ingredient of all, avocado!

10. Spicy pickled carrots

Preperation

The first step is optional but can really jazz up your nachos. Start by cooking your meat of choice, I marinated some chicken breast for a couple hours then turned on the barbecue and grilled them up. Once my breasts were done I shredded the meat up and set aside until assembly. Next I chopped the onion for some quick guacamole. I pitted the avocado and mixed it in a bowl with the diced onion, some lemon juice, and or course salt and pepper. Finally I chopped up the pickled jalapeno peppers, making sure to remove as much seeds as possible. Now It's time for assembly.

Now it's time to strategically place all the ingredients, except the guacamole, chives, green salsa verde sauce, and sour cream, onto a large baking sheet or pan. You want to make sure that every single bite is just as good as the next. Don't just toss everything on there, you want to spread out all the ingredients evenly, all the way to the edge of the chips. Once your nachos look ready to go, place them in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 5-6 minutes. Just enough time to melt all the cheese.

Almost Done!

Once you take your nachos out of the oven, it's now time for the final touches. Add the guacamole, chives, green salsa verde sauce, and sour cream. Now your ready for some feasting!
