Guitar Pick / Anti-slip / Hole-puch-inator

Lets face it, whether you're just getting started or you've been playing guitar for years, occasionally your guitar pick wanders out of position. Remedies for this are wide and varied, so here's another that may just do the trick for you.

Materials include:

-your preferred size, shape, and gauge of pick.

-a hole punch with your desired shape (I play in a Christian praise band at my church, hence the cross).

-Hammer

-Anvil (or other hard surface)

Step 1: Insert pick into the shape punch. This can be tricky as on this particular punch, the pick would disappear making it very tricky to position the hole exactly where I wanted it. To help with this, you can make a pencil mark on in the center of the pick and then line that up looking at the underside of the punch.

Step 2: Place the punch on the anvil (or other hard surface) and give it a good whack with the hammer.

Step 3: The punch may be stuck in place! If this happens, do not be alarmed. Simply use a nail-set, or other similar item to push the punch back into it's starting position.  

Finally remove the pick from the punch. You may need to push it out with another pick. Then play to your heart's content with a firm grip on your pick. :)
