HOME DECOR: ANTHURIUM ANDRAEANUM MADE OF AIR-DRY CLAY
Ornamental plants are becoming man's therapist in a stressful work environment. The advancing corporate world offers jobs that can be done at our convenient hours and spaces, especially those that do not require a regular work shift, even so, there are still factors that affect our well-being such as anxiety, losses, and lack of enthusiasm while we strive to accomplish our target goals. Isn't it relaxing to see mood enhancers around our working space to keep us productive? Plants are natural elements which are excellent alternatives for clinical therapy.
The plant Anthurium andraeanum or otherwise known as the flamingo flower in Greek is a perennial plant we can easily put on top of our work tables. Their presence is believed to be healthy for humans: They are good air-purifiers because they absorb pollutants such as viruses present in the air, they are helpful stress relievers because they trigger positive emotions that relieve us from our burdens at work, they are also oxygen providers which means that we can breathe fresh air even if we conduct work indoors. Furthermore, they improve the aesthetics of the place's interior. They add beauty and style to the room to tickle our senses to become work-driven.
However, research also tells us that it can be poisonous when eaten by humans, as well as pets like dogs and cats. So we must exercise precautions still when choosing our decorations at home.
Fortunately, there is a remedy for our tables to look creative and stunning by using artificial materials to copy the structure of the original Anthurium plant. Air-dry clay or polymer clay can be a solution to carve a ravishing table display.
Anthurium plant made out of clay saves us time and maintenance costs. The artificial flower display does not need to be watered everyday. It also lasts longer than the actual plant because we do not need to buy new plants to renew our old stack when it decays. There is also a lesser chance for it to be damaged since the clay hardens easily. Lastly, it can be crafted with a one-time expense because the supplies needed to create our own version are non-biodegradable. It can exist for years!

HERE IS A SIMPLE WAY TO CRAFT A LOVELY TABLE DECORATION USING AIR-DRY CLAY:
HAVE ALL THE SUPPLIES IN PLACE
MAKE THE LEAVES
Draw the pattern of the leaves using the silver-ink pen for the linings to be noticeable.
GET THE VASE READY
To add more appeal to its exterior, write a word, a phrase, or a statement on its surface using the black marker.
STUFF THE LEAVES INSIDE THE VASE
Gather the leaves into the vase, make sure that they are connected firmly with their stems or what is called the penduncle in a real Anthurium plant.
*Note:
Make various stems for the leaves and the flowers.
MOLD ANTHURIUM FLOWERS FROM THE CLAY
Create a heart-shaped leaf for the flower to be completed. This part of the plant is called the spathe. Attach the white or yellow clay directly behind the spadix. See to it that they look identical with the Anthurium andraeanum flower.
PUT THE FLOWERS TOGETHER WITH THE LEAVES
DISPLAY THE FINISHED PRODUCT
We made it!
See, it is light and easy as can be.
