This is a fun quick and easy craft children will love to make. This could be a lamp or a nice Halloween decoration for your home or porch.

Supplies

This DIY is very easy. All the materials you will need are:

- 1 Piece of Orange Construction Paper - 1 Piece of Black Construction Paper - 1 Pair of Scissors - Clear Tape of Any Kind - 1 Pencil, Pen, or Marker

Step 1: Make Guidelines for Cutting

For this step, pull out the orange and black pieces of construction paper as well as your pencil/marker/pen. Now use your black paper to mare sure you have a straight line on the orange paper. Do this by lining up the black paper about 1 inch out from the left side of the orange paper when the orange paper is laying horizontally (does not need to be exactly an inch), now make sure the black paper is vertical. Now draw small dot one inch up from the orange paper against the black paper. Now continue moving the black paper about an in to the right at a time continuing the process of as dot 1 inch above from the orange paper as you can see in the photos. Once you have done this, Flip the paper 180 degrees to the right and repeat the dotting process the this side of the paper.

Step 2: Make Holes for Cutting

Now simply take our your scissors, open them, and poke holes into all of the dots the best you can.

Step 3: Cutting Lines

Now use your scissors to cut from one tot to the other (vertically).

Step 4: Pumpkin Face

Now pull back out the scissors, writing utensil, and black construction paper you just used. After you have done that, draw an outline similar to mine or just be creative (it does not need to be perfect). Once you have drawn a mouth, nose, and eyes the best you can, try really hard to see your marks you made with your writing utensil. Now simply cut out the face you want.

Step 5: Pumpkin Face Placement

Once you have done that. Place the pumpkin face over the orange construction paper you cut directly in the middle (make sure the orange paper is horizontal).

Step 6: Cutting Your Pumpkin Face

Now use your writing utensil to make and outline around your black construction paper. Now draw marks on the black construction paper to match the lines of the orange construction paper. Then cut the lines you drew on the black construction paper.

Step 7: Gluing

Now simply fold the paper in half like a hot dog, but now too hard. Just make sure when you open the paper you can see a line from folding like so.

Step 9: Taping

Now, finally put out your clear tape and get a strip of tape about 8.5 to 9.5 inches long. Now apply one half of the tape to the right side of the orange construction paper.

Step 10: Bend to Cylinder

Now bend your paper end to end to look like a cylinder. Now connect the other half of the tape to the other side of the construction paper.

Finished

This is what your decoration should look like when you are finished. You can also put a small light in the middle for a lamp.
