Pick Your Design
Before you begin to utilize the glowforge website, you should pick your design for the coasters. (These should end in .jpg, .jpeg, .png) Then find a picture of a circle for the shape of your coaster. (This should end in .svg , in order for it to cut instead of engrave.) You should then upload pictures of your design onto your computer. They could also be pictures from the internet.
Open Glowforge App and Connect Computer to Glowforge
Open the glowforge website and connect it to your glowforge. This step will allow us to transfer all of the information and designs from the computer onto the wood.
Insert and Scan Wood
For this step, you will have to grab your piece of plywood and insert it into the glowforge. The glowforge has a camera that scans the material you desire to use. Then close the glowforge and click the button in order for it to scan the piece of wood. Once your back at your computer, select the material you are using in this case, thick plywood, on the top left corner.
Insert Design
You will want to insert your circular images drag it until the circle says 4x4 inches, (this differs according to how big you want your coaster) Then drag your design inside the circle. Make sure that the circle image ends in .svg in order for it to cut. Also make sure that the design within the circle ends in .jpg, .png, .jpeg.
Start Printing
Now you are ready to print! Simply click ready at the top right of the Glowforge website. The app should give you a timer of the amount of time it will take to print. Then walk over to the glowforge and click the button in order to start printing.
Wait
The glowforge will print by itself. You have to wait the amount of time it tells you. (the time it tells you depends on how intricate the design is) Then once its over, wait an extra 2 minutes to make sure it cools down before you seal it.
Seal
After they cool down completely, you want to apply a thin layer of sealant onto the coasters and wait till they're dry.
Use Your Coasters!
Now your done! Put them around your house and enjoy the Halloween spirit.
