Hand Cart for Children
Are you tired of all your kids’ toys left around? Would you find a solution that allows your kid to transport his things on his own? Are you tired of spending a fortune for kids’ stuff you won’t use in a couple of years? Well, I tackled the same issues and I tried to figure out a simple solution to cope with my needs.
Why PlayWood?
In this project I am going to present you I created a DIY furniture that allows me and my sons to keep their stuff collected, avoiding any loss. Moreover I decided to make a portable DIY project so they can transport their things around the house in the most comfortable way possible.
For the realization of this hand cart for children I decided to buy some bright wooden panels, for instance I bought fir layers boards of a thickness between 16 and 19 mm (¾” and ⅞”). Each boards has been joint to others thanks to an angle connector; I rather use the PlayWood assembly system because these connectors are fully made of recycled high-quality materials and because of their durability you can use them many times for different projects.
What Do I Need?
For the realization of this DIY project I used:
- 1 Fir layers board 60 x 40 cm - 23,62” x 15,75”
- 2 Fir layers boards 40 x 30 cm - 15,75” x 11,81”
- 2 Fir layers boards 60 x 30 cm - 23,62” x 11,81”
- 4 Wheels Ø 5 cm (Ø 1,97”)
- 8 PlayWood Connectors 90°
How Do I Build It?
First of all I put the wheels on each corner of my basement board and then joint this panel to the others.
It took me just 10 minutes to realize this cart: I joint each board with a PlayWood connector 90° - one on the top and one on the bottom of the panel and I realized a square shape.
What Are You Waiting For?
In a blink of eye I had an hand cart at disposal of my kids; once they won’t play anymore I could re-assemble this project in a different way, otherwise I could use it to storage other stuff. That’s the genius behind each DIY sustainable project and PlayWood definitely endorses and improves this philosophy!
