Hand Painted Bubble Wall -experience Peace -Covid Times
How Create and Construct your own personnel Art Bubble Wall
Step one
l used a croyon to mark out my design on the sheet.
Work first using black Glass Window paint.. than just fill in your pattern as you would doing Stain Glass Window Art.... (Creat your own Design or search for 'Stain Glass Window Art' for idea's.
(than leave your sheet preferably overnight to dry.
Step 2
You have to fit the Airbubble Airstone at the bottom of the Decorated Polycarbonate sheet - this needs to be fitted inside the sheets at the bottom end.... which you have to cut the inside carefully not to damage the outter walls of the sheet... and fit the Airbubble Airstone in... making sure that the end bit (that would be connected to the pump tube is visable and left out.... Than l just used Sealant Adhesive to seal it in (and let it completely dry (which should take several hours)...
Supplies
A couple of ft. Polycarbonate Sheets (l kept my ones from a taken down - from Conservatory.
You can buy the following on Line...
Aquarium Bubble Airtstone (which is normally used for Fish Tank)
Aquarium Air Pump tube (some will sell the one way air valve with it).. otherwise it is important to use a valve with your Air pumb.. otherwise water will go back into your pump and ruin it and could be dangerous to - electric shock. ( so therefore very important to order a one way valve and make sure to look at the arrow so that the air is flowing towards your connected Bubble Stone.
Three Way connector
A one way air flow valve (note: that some Air Pump you buy will have them otherwise you have to buy separate they are cheap to buy).
A couple of feet high Polycarbonate Sheets (l kept my ones from a taken down - from Conservatory.
Sealant Adhesive (to stop any leakage)
For Decorating your Wall
l used
Paints for Glass & Plastic Surfaces (which you can buy on Line)
Create Your Own Window Stain Artwork
Step 3
Notes:- There are two types of Pumps one you can immerge in the water...
You need to buy Air Pump (which lets out air (and not pump the water)... so that is the difference.
With the air pump you need attach the Air flow valve.
Connecting the Pump and Check for Leaks
The Air Valve is shown in the photograph.
The Air Pump l bought has two outlets... (these is where you have to attach the The Air Pump tube.
Note: if your are making one Air Bubble Wall... you can buy Air Pump with one outlet.
My personnel choice was to experiment that this two outlet Pump can be used for Two Air Bubble Wall!
BUT... as per the photograph... l am using the two outlets to attach just one wall... in which case l had order the 3 way connecter.
As per the photography.... l cut a 3 inch long tube.. connect that to the 2 outlets on the pump...
Than cut in half... and attached the 3 way connector.
than the black one way valve(which has a arrow on it)... (make sure you look at the arrow to attach it the right way... which makes sure that the airflows away from the pump. (otherwise water will go back into the pump.. is not what we need).
Than you connect the long Air pump to this and than to your Air Bubble Stone (which is now seated inside your sealed Water Wall.
To Check for Leaks
Hold the wall up right and fill half the Wall from the top with water.
Check the bottom if there is any water leaking... If so empty the water out. Dry with towel.. and repeat in putting extra layer of Sealant Adhesive (leave for several hours to dry completely).
Repeat filling up half level... If no leaks..
Plug in the connected Air Pump.. and check that the bubble Wall is Working.
Note: Make sure that the pipe is connected to your wall otherwise water will flow out...
Last step
If you can get some one to make a stand for your working wall thats great.
l used my long plants pots... which were an ideal bonus to hold the wall in place.
You can use your creative imagination to add statues in front and creat your own peaceful corner in the Garden.
PS...After wall is set up... You can use Water proof LED Lights around your wall .. to create an amazing effect as night falls....
When stuck inside during Covid .. nice to get out in the Garden To Your own Peaceful Relaxing Corner...:)
