I had a plunger for a french press and then I found the corresponding glass for it one day walking around my neighborhood, but I didn't have a handle for it. I looked around the house and found a hand strengthener that wasn't getting a lot of use anymore, so I decided to figure out how to make it into a handle.

Plastic and metal hand strengthener.

Silicone garlic peeler.

Twine.

Four 20" zip ties.

Twine

I wrapped twine around a hand strengthener so that the handle would be flush with the glass.

I took a silicone garlic peeler, cut it to size, and used it to cover the twine on the handle and reduce slippage. I used the rest of the garlic peeler to attach to the front of the french press to keep the zip ties from sliding.

Then I attached the hand strengthener to the glass using four 20" zip ties. I gradually tightened the zip ties until they were as snug as possible.
