Hanging 3D Filament Dry Box

hanging.jpg

The 3-D fillament Hanging Dry Box is a simple design to keep your filament dry while printing. Other products cost around $100 and need to be plugged in. They also take up a lot of space beside your printer. So I made this so you can hang your filament where you normally would on your printer and just slide it inside this box. Keeps fillament at below 20% humidity. The silica desiccant packs can recharged in you oven or microwave. You can make it on a CR 10 mini or bigger printer and the parts are quite cheap, hope you enjoy

Print your parts from thingyverse. Be sure to print the gaskets in TPU or other flexible material ( the black parts). Also be sure that everything wil fit together. The parts fit together quite tightly so make sure they are sized properly. If using cura make sure your horizontal expansion is set correctly. If your slicer does not have horizontal expansion and your not sure if the parts once printed will fit tightly together you’ll need to figure that out before printing.
