Hanging Snowflake Decorations

hello friends!! After doing some shopping at WalMart, I found some really neat foam snowflake shapes and well, this is what I decided to do with them! It's an easy craft and really fun!! All you need are some foam shapes such as the ones pictured, a hole punch, some string, twine or thread, and whatever kind of glitter or sequins you like to decorate with!

Simple Snowflake Decorations

ok well, I began by sorting my snowflakes into a straight line. Take the first snowflake (whichever one will be on the top) and punch two holes into them like pictured.

continue this on each snowflake until you reach the last one, which will have only one hole punched into it. You should now have a bunch of shapes ordered however you like, all with holes punched.

Now, you are ready to thread the snowflakes together! cut three (or however many you may need) lengths of string. ( My string was wrapped tightly, so I had to flatten them a bit before I could use them.)

And then put the string through one hole of your top snowflakes and knot the ends together, to make a ring, so it can hang on a hook or doorknob, etc.

Now tie the threads through the bottom of the first snowflake and the top of the second, and continue until all the pieces are together. Remember to keep the thread loose, so that they hang apart.

Now you are ready to decorate the flakes to your heart's content!! I made a simple design, just for this instructable. Enjoy your new decorations and have a lovely holiday!
