Heart Shaped Peanut Butter Cookies
Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so why not make these delicious heart-shaped peanut butter cookies for that someone special in your life. They are very cute and super easy to make.
Make the Dough With My Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
1 c shortening
¾ c peanut butter
2 eggs
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 ½ c flour
1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1 Tbsp hot water
INSTRUCTIONS
1 – Preheat oven to 350°
2 – In a medium sized mixing bowl sift flour once and measure. Add salt and sift together
3 – In another medium size mixing bowl cream shortening thoroughly and add sugars gradually. Add eggs one and a time beating thoroughly. Add peanut butter, soda water and vanilla. Blend well
4 - Add flour gradually
5 - Roll into balls and smash with a fork (modify to make heart-shape)
6 - Bake for 10-12 minutes
Scoop Up a Small Amount of Dough and Roll It Into a Ball and Place on Cookie Sheet
Press Dough Ball Down With Your Fingers
Using a Fork Handle Cut Into the Top and Move Dough Outward to the Right and Left to Form a “V” Shape
With Fork Tines Press Down the Dough
Using Fork Edge Press the Bottom of the Cookie Inward (both Sides) to Make the Bottom “V” Shape
Bake and Enjoy
