Heineken Plant Pot
In this instructable I´ll show you how to reuse a Heineken keg to make a great looking plant pot
Materials
- Obviously Heineken 5 liter beer keg
- Dremel Mototool or Dremel Trio ( A drill could be used instead )
- Metal drill bits
- Grinding bit
- Ear plugs
- Metal scissors
- Gloves
- Permanent marker
- Overall
- PROTECTION GLASSES
- Soil
- Desired plant
- Garden shovel
Opening the Keg
IMPORTANT! THE KEG MUST BE EMPTY BEFORE DRILLING
- Put the biggest bit to the dremel / drill
- Make a hole in the top
- Make more continuous holes to make a path for the scissors
- Take out all the stuff from inside
- Cut the edges
- Grind the edges
Wash It
- Remove all the internal components inside the keg
- Wash the keg to remove the metal dust
Planting
- Fill 3/4 of the keg with fresh soil
- Put the plant inside the keg
- Bury the plant up to the half ( it will depend on the plant )
- Enjoy
