Hollow Bracelet
How to make a hollow bracelet, with polymer clay
Materials used in this project:
- Polymer clay (Fimo soft)
- Aluminium wire
- Toilet paper
- Ceramic slip
- Water
With the wire, make a large ring and cover it with toilet paper strips.
Once you are happy with the size, apply 2 or 3 coats of ceramic slip (To make the ceramic slip, mix water with potters clay to obtain a creamy liquid)
You can let it dry naturally or you can use a heat gun (or a hair dryer) to dry it faster.
Is important to dry each coat before apply a new one.
Cover the bracelet with polymer clay and make your decorations.
Leaving open spaces can give your piece a very interesting look!
Bake it in the oven, during 30 minutes, at 110°C/230°F
After baking, let it cool.
Place the blacelet in warm water.
The warm water will dissolve the ceramic slip and the toilet paper. That way you can remove it very easily.
Cut the wire and remove it.
Use clean water to remove eventual residues and your bracelet is ready to use!
Have Fun!!
