Home Made Audio

In the 90s decade or some earlier, there was a craze of Audio Cassette Player. The stereo system was come with 2 speaker boxes along with the cassette player deck equipped with designing VU meter panels. But now a days Bluetooth USB Players are popular. But even there is a lack in designs and some other features.

But even then if you are interested in Domestic Sound Systems then you can make it one at home. Let us see, how?

Prepare Your Design

First of all take a piece of ply sheet of appropriate size as you wish and draw your design on it with the help of a pencil. Now cut it either yourself (see the video how?), or with the help of a carpenter.

Cut and Fit

After cutting your design finish it using a file. Now for volume control fittings make fasteners and fit them as per requirements. See the picture above or see the whole process in the video: Home Made Audio.

Laminating the Panel

Now affix the laminate or mica with fevicol adhesive and let it dry for at least 10 hours or more.

Cut the Mica

Now cut the mica according the earlier cuts made in the ply sheet.

Now fit all the controls, switches, usb panel and LEDs on their appropriate places. Also prepare a back panel too as per requirement.

Choose Your Audio Kit

How loud sound you prefer or what kind of sound quality you like, you should choose the audio circuit board accordingly. Here I have chosen a 100 watt sound kit with dual IC CD4440. I am not recommending it. It was just chosen as per availability at that time in my reach. I recommend you to choose some better sound kit than this one.

Final Wiring
