Homemade Glass Shelves

We had a pile of glass TV base plates at work.  The TVs were used as monitors to display information and were all wall mounted, so I was given the glass base plates.  There was a circular mounting pattern of 6 holes already in the plates, with a small metal plate just around the holes.  I thought these would make a great set of matching shelves with some washers, nuts, and 4' threaded rods.  This is the end result.  It has an interesting look with the 6 rods through the middle.  I am thinking about attaching a permanent lamp or something on the top to hide the washers and nuts at the very top.
