Honey Buns

These delicious rolls are perfect for a brunch or afternoon tea. Light and fluffy buns, topped with a cream cheese/honey/vanilla icing. Quick and easy, no yeast required. Makes 18-21.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease 2 cookies sheets and set aside.

Ingredients for Buns

2 eggs

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup honey

3 T. sweet butter, softened

2-1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 T. brown sugar

2 T. sugar

1 T. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

Prepare Batter

In electric mixer, combine eggs, milk and honey. Mix until well blended.

Add butter. Mix until well blended.

Add remaining ingredients, blend until smooth.

Bake

Drop dough by large tablespoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 15 minutes until light brown. Rotate pans half-way through cooking.

Prepare Topping.

Ingredients:

4oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup honey

2 tsp. vanilla

With electric mixer, mix all ingredients together on high speed until smooth.

Frost and Enjoy!

Remove buns from oven and spread on topping while buns are warm. Enjoy while warm!

Note: if you don't think you are going to use all the buns, just frost the ones you will use. Save the frosting in the refrigerator, warm the buns the next day and frost while warm.
