Need a sturdy, low cost shovel and rake holder? This two horseshoe hook works well for many such yard tools and is easy to make!

I used two used horseshoes, drilled and welded together, to make an ideal rustic hook for rakes and shovels.

Materials:

  • 2 horseshoes

Preparing One Horseshoe Before Welding

Drill ΒΌ" holes through both open ends on one of the horseshoes.

Attaching the Two Horseshoes

Hold the curved parts of the horseshoes together so the two shoes are about 45 degrees apart.

Weld the two horseshoes together at the curve so they are spread apart at about 45 degrees.

Mounting the Holder

Screw the open end with the holes onto the wall where you want to store your shovels.

Hang up all your shovels, rakes and other garden tools between the horseshoes or hook them on one of the open ends.
