Hot Sealer Machine for Plastic Bag

I appreciate you visiting my instructable page. I want to show you how to create a hot plastic bag sealing machine at home using basic materials in this tutorial. 

A sealer machine is a device that seals plastic packaging that is going to be attached, like that of snack chips, pastes, and other products. This machine makes it easier and faster for food production entrepreneurs to attach plastic or aluminium foil packaging.

The following basic items are needed to create a sealer machine.

1) Wood Strip 3 Pcs ( 30cm x 4 cm x 1.2 cm )

2) Nichrome wire 32 Gauge 20 cm long

3) Glue Gun with glue stick

4) Black and red wire

5) 1 X 9 Volt DC Battery

6) Soldering iron

7) 1 X DC Rocker Switch

8) 2 X Truss head screw

To install the support for the heating element, first take one wodden strip that is 30 X 4 X 1.2 cm in size.

Then, using a hot glue gun, put some glue on the 1.2 cm thicker side of the strip. Next, take another little strip that measures 12 X 1 X 1.8 cm and immediately set it on the hot glue. Allow the hot glue to cool down for a better adhesion.

Now, attach a single 1 cm truss head screw to the end of the support for the heating element. Next, grab the second truss screw and repeat the process at the second end.

It's time to select the heating element for the plastic bag closure now. NiCr wire, also known as nichrome wire, is used in the majority of hot sealing machines. It is a mix metal with 20% Cr and 80% Ni. Propotion may vary depending on the maker.

Now, using a screwdriver, put a 20-cm-long piece of 32-gauge NiCr wire between the two truss screws that were fixed in the previous step, as indicated in the photo.

Now, take the second wooden strip, stick the heating element wooden strip to it with hot glue as shown in the photo.

After then, allow it some time to cool.

Using a glue gun, attach a 9 volt DC battery to one side of the sealer machine. Next, add the Socker switch as seen in the image.

It's time to use the wiring diagram to connect every wire now. There is basic circuitry that everyone understands.

Taking a soldering iron and solder batteries, attach one end of the NiCr wire to the + wire and the other end to the Socker switch. The other Socker switch terminal is now soldered to the other end of the NiCr wire.

To create an up/down handle, now take an earphone wire clip and attach one end to the sealer machine's end. Now, move the third wooden strip to the wire clip's second side.

It's time to examine how the plastic sealer machine operates now.

Turn on the Socker Switch and wait 10 to 15 seconds for the NiCr wire to reach 150 degrees Celsius. Next, place one plastic bag on the heating element and press the handle down to firmly attach the bag to the element. Take one or two seconds and push up the handle.

Now, miracle! sealed plastic bag.
