How Muffle a Children's Bass Drum

After hearing a group of 5 year-olds bang on the drum set at a play date for an hour. We decided to muffle the bass drum.

tools needed
drum key or crescent wrench
old pillow

Lay down the bass drum on kick drum head.

Use the drum key to remove the clamps.

Lift the round metal rim and set it aside.

Lift the drum head and set it aside.

Now your bass drum is open.

Place your pillow inside as shown in the picture.

Reassemble in reverse order. When tightening the clamps start by placing them all on first then hand tightening like with a tire. Use you tool to tighten them firm, but don't over tighten.
