How to Be Happy
Being happy is NOT about money or possessions. Sure they can help a bit, but your happiness lies within yourself. As soon as you realise this, you can be truly happy.
Most people live in the future expectation of being happy. "I will be happy once I..."
"Have more money"
"Get a partner"
"Have a new house"
"Have a new car"
The problem with this is that once you get that thing, you quickly look to something else you "need". It's a never ending circle that stops you from achieving happiness NOW.
Here are some top tips to help you find happiness...
Find Time for Loved Ones
In your pursuit for money and possessions you can forget about your loved ones. In fact you might even consider spending time with them a "waste" because it stops you earning money, building your career etc.
NEVER think like that. Your loved ones are VITAL to your happiness. Give them more time and energy, and I promise that your happiness levels will increase.
Be Generous
Be generous with your time and/or money. You will feel great after even a small sacrifice. Plus people will love you for it.
Affirmations
A lot of happiness is about deciding to be happy. To set you off to a good start to the day, say to yourself "I am happy" ten times every morning.
Hobbies
Make more time for hobbies and fill your life with more of what you enjoy. If you don't have any hobbies, enjoy the time discovering new passions.
Meditate
It is well known that people who meditate regularly are happier people. Meditation does not need to be complicated. It can be as simple as closing your eyes for a few minutes and imagining being in a place that makes you feel happy. This could be a holiday from your past, or even one made up. You are only limited by your imagination.

Have Some Goals
To be happy you need to have some short term and long term goals to shoot for. They can be anything at all, but you have to genuinely want them. This gives your life meaning, and gives you something to focus on.
