Want a robot to do all your biddings? Well, I'll teach you how to make your very own Instructable Robot Assistant! This robot won't do all your biddings but it's one handy robot! Enjoy.

Materials

You will need wood, a saw, markers(red and black), paint(yellow and orange), a pencil sharpener, magnet, watch, paperclips, pins, toothpick, paper, velcro, wire cutter, scissors, pencil, eraser top, paint brush, glue, clay, screw driver, hammer, sand paper, drill, and wire.
I don't have all the materials listed in the pictures.

Cutting Out the Wood

Next you will need to cut out the wood. It should be 2 inches in length, 2 inches in height, and 1.5 inches in width. Then trace the out line of the pencil sharpener and saw it out so the pencil sharpener can fit in the slot. Use clay to fill in any uneven surfaces to make it smooth.

Legs

IMGP5802.JPG
Next you will need to make the legs. They are two pieces of wood that are 1 1/2 inches in height, 1/2 inch in width, and 3/4 of an inch in length.

Head

IMGP5811.JPG
The head is made out of paper. Look on picture number one for the design and then cut it out. You also have to cut out the circle in the middle. The hole should be the same circumference as the eraser top.

Arms

IMGP5804.JPG
Draw and cut out the arms so they are about the same shape as picture number one. You will need 4 of them. Draw the design with a pencil. You will also need to bend 2 pieces of wire that are 2 1/2 inches long so they look like claws so they will be able to "hold and grab" a pencil. now you will need to glue the arm pieces so they will be on either side. See image 2 for clarification.

Painting

IMGP5800.JPG
Paint everything that you just made a yellowish color. Mix a lot of yellow with a bit of orange.

Head- Draw eyes, mouth, eyebrows, and ears. Stick a toothpick through the two red ears. Fold on the lines and then tape together. Then tape the head to the body. You can paint it again to hide the paint.

Body- Glue magnet strips to the back(side that does not have the hole for the pencil sharpener) so they cover it. Then disassemble your watch so there are no more straps. Put a piece of velcro to the back of the watch and another to the center of the magnet. Stick together. Then stick the 3 pins to the shoulder and make sure it is not touching the head.

Legs- Draw the details. There should be wheels and the lines. Glue the legs to the bottom of the body so that the hole is in front of the robot is facing down.

Arms- Drill two holes on the side of the robot and stick the arms in and secure. The claws should be facing up.
