How to Make a Halo M6C Prop Pistol
Ready to make another weapon from Halo?
With Halo 2 anniversary just around the corner, I decided to make the M6C pistol from Halo 2. A silenced version oh the gun is also featured in Halo 3 ODST.

Gather Materials
You need paper, pencils, cardboard, glue, some sort of tube for the barrel, styrofoam, scissors, hot glue sticks, a hot glue gun, black spray paint, gray acrylic paint, and a reference image. Here's a good image.
Create Blueprint Using Reference Image
Draw a blueprint on a piece of paper with everything to scale. You can use Halo Wikia for size and dimensions.
Trace and Cut Out 4 Slices of Blueprint
Be presice, use an exacto knife, and then cut it through with scissors following the exacto knife lines.
For the inside of the trigger guard, only use an exacto knife to ensure clean edges.

Cut Details
There will be two top layers and two inner layers. Choose the two cleanest of the four for your top piece, as they will be the pieces shown.
For the top pieces, cut out the trigger and magazine. Leave the inner pieces alone. Also note the outside layers top part is slightly shorter than the middle layers. This is to add depth to the slide.
Check out the images above to get a better understanding.

Barrel
At the front of the pistol, there is a notch where the side of the barrel can be seen. Cut it out. Then find a suitable barrel. I used the cap of a high liter. Then, cut a space in the inner layer to make room for the barrel.
Finish it off by gluing the four layers together

Cut Out Details From Blueprint
Cut out the details. This includes the slide, magazine, grip, ejection port, sights, etc.
Cover the Sides
Cut pieces of thin cereal box cardboard and glue it to the sides of the pistol to hide the cardboard corrugation. For the top part, only cover the middle layer top.
Add Details
Using thin, cereal box cardboard, add more detail to the gun according to your blueprints. Do not glue the slide on yet. Also, make sure to cut out the part under the slide chamber.
Ready for Paint!
Prep your pieces for paint. The lower receiver will be black, and the slide will be gray.
Paint
Paint the lower receiver black, covering all parts except the handle with masking tape. Once the handle is black, remove the tape and paint the rest of the gun dark gray. I mixed white and black acrylic pant to achieve dark gray. Make sure to use a reference image.
Slide
Paint the entire slide gray.
Details
Paint the piece under the slide silver, and use more cardboard to cut out details. Use paint to paint two yellow dots at the rear sight, and add the red firing indicator.
Attach Pieces
Using a it glue gun, attach the slide to the lower receiver.
Finished!
Now you have a completed M6C prop pistol from Halo 2. Hooray!
