How to Make Grilled Cheese in the Toaster

Do you love grilled cheese? Who doesn’t? This classic life hack will have you enjoying a grilled cheese sandwich in less than 3 minutes using only your toaster.

Grab a Toaster and Turn It on Its Side.

Grab Some Bread and Some Cheese.

Add Cheese to One Slice of Bread.

Put the Slices in the Toaster.

* The slice with the cheese on it needs to go in the bottom slot.

* The plain slice goes in the top slot.

Click the Lever and Insert the Bread Slices.

Once the lever is clicked in, push the bread slices in a few inches until they have reached the back.

* Caution* Be quick with this step as the toaster is heating up and your fingers will briefly be inside the toaster.

Place Your Plate in Front of the Toaster.

Place your plate in front of the toaster to catch your grilled cheese sandwich.

Enjoy watching the cheese melt on the bread.

Depending on your toaster setting, your grilled cheese sandwich should pop out in about 2 and a half to 3 minutes.

The top slice will land on top of the bottom slice and slide onto the plate.

To get a perfect fit of the two slices, you must try to push both slices as flush to the bottom of the toaster as possible during the toasting process. If the top slice is at all crooked, it will land that way when popped out, but it’s an easy quick fix if it does.
