How to Make a Rock Sling!

The sling is a very ancient weapon. it is literally thousands of years old. It's even mentioned in the Bible (David and Goliath I think) ! But just because they're old, that doesn't mean it's not still fun! It takes a while to master, but it is worth it!

You need:

-String
-Duct tape
-Scissors
-Ruler

You will need about 4 feet of string and 4 inches of duct tape.

Take the string, fold it in half, and mark the center. Position the mark in the middle of the tape(see photo). Then fold the corners. Take another 4 in. and put it on the current piece, sticky sides down. Fold dow the corners to that and your done step 1!

This step is to curve the pouch! The purpose of this is so the rock will say in while your spinning this. Cut little V's, 3 on each side. (follow pictures!) Bend so the edges of the V's meet, then add a small piece of tape.

In this step you will make a finger loop on one side of the string so you can use it easier! Take 4 in. of duct tape and put the tip of the string on a short side! Fold it in half and cut a circle out of it! (Follow Picture!)

This is a basic idea of how to use it. There may be other ways.

Put the finger ring on the index finger and the other string in between the index and thumb. Put a rock in the pouch and swing in an underhand way. When you think the pouch is at the bottom of its rotation, let go of the loose string. If you want to lob it, let it go at a 45 degree angle.

WARNING!
If you let go at the wrong time, it will fly in a random direction. Beside you is the best place for spectators to stand.
