Have all materials including: Hauppauge HDPVR, Computer, HDTV, Xbox 360 or PS3, an internet connection, HD/AV Component    cables for Xbox 360 or PS3, a Xbox Live/PlayStation Network account, a YouTube account, and any game for the Xbox 360 or PS3.

Step 2 - Insert and Install the ArcSoft Drivers Disc

Ensure you have a solid internet connection. Have your computer on, the HDPVR comes with a drivers disc which you will then need to insert the disc to your laptop/computer and it will download the recording program needed to do this.

Step 3 - Connect Your HDPVR

Once you have installed the Arcsoft recording program onto your computer, you can then connect your HDPVR to your computer via USB cable which is provided with the HDPVR.

Step 4 - Connect Your HD/AV Component Cables

Before going any further, make sure your Xbox/PS3 is properly connected with an Xbox Live/PlayStation Network account and internet connection. Since your HDPVR comes with a set of double-sided HD/AV component cables, you will plug those (either end) to the "out" section which is on the top in the back of the HDPVR, and the other end goes into the back of your HDTV where there are 5 holes for the component cables. As for the Xbox 360/PS3 HD/AV cables, those are connected to the "in" section on the bottom in the back of the HDPVR.

Step 5 - Put a Game Into Your Xbox 360/PS3 and Have Your HDPVR Still Connected

Now you have everything connected (with the HDPVR still connected via USB) start up the ArcSoft program, and insert any game you have into your Xbox360/PS3.

Step 6 - Start Recording

Time for recording! Click the recording part on the home screen of the ArcSoft program and this wil guide you to the next part. Click the start button under the large black screen, which should be showing the current picture of what's on your HDTV, start recording what you want and when finished, click the stop button which is in the same place now where the start button was.

Step 7 - Upload to YouTube

Now this is where you must have a YouTube account. Go to your video files folder on your computer and find the one that was previously recorded, it wll show the time and date if you hover over it for a few seconds and you can determine if it's your most recent recording. Now sign-in to YouTube and go to the top and click the "upload" button. It'll then say choose file and click that, go to the video files section once again and find your recording. Double click it and it will begin uploading. From there you can rename it and add a description and all that cool stuff.

Step 8 - Your Done!
