How to Replace a GBC Cartridge Battery

Does Your GBC Game Not Save? Do You Want It To Save?
If Yes, Read This.

IF YOU DO THIS, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE!

What You Need:
2025 Or 2032 Battery (2032 Is Longer Lasting)
Tool To Open Screw
Soldering Iron
Soldier
Multimeter(OPTIONAL)
Wire
Electrical Tape

Open the Cartridge

Use Pliers,Screwdriver,Tweezers Or Anything That Will Open The Tamper-Proof Screw

Then Slide The Cartridge Open

Test the Battery

BEFORE You De-Soldier The Battery, Test It With A Multimeter. Full Battery Should Be 3.0 Volts

IF BATTERY IS GOOD, DO NOT CONTINUE
NEXT STEP IS RISKY!

De-Soldier the Battery

Just De-Soldier The 2 Points That Are Marked In The Image

Should End Up Like The Image

Soldier Wires

Soldier 2 wires to the points shown in the image
Attach Piece Of Tape As Shown

READ THE IMAGE NOTES (yellow boxes)

Careful! Soldering Irons Are Hot!

Insert and Tape Battery

NEGATIVE SIDE UP

Close Up

If It Doesn't Fit,  Try Again

Slide the cover back on

If You Want, Reinstall Screw
