How to Build Fire Pit

• Make sure the fire pit is, at minimum, 10 feet away from any structure or neighboring yard—25 feet is preferable.

• Do not position a fire pit under a covered porch or low hanging tree branches.

• Always place a fire pit on a non-flammable surface, such as patio blocks or concrete

.• Do not put a fire pit on a wooden deck or directly on grass.

Tools & Materials

  • Wheel barrow
  • Stepping Stones
  • Galvanized Ring
  • Small Bricks

Determining Size

Place ring where you want your pit. Remember look around for fire hazards.

Fire pits are typically about 36 to 44 inches in diameter.

Digging Out

When you have your circle roughed out, dig a 12-inch-deep hole in that location.

Leveling Your Pit

Place ring in hole and see where it needs leveling

Start Forming Your Fire Pit

Lay bricks under Galvanized ring on level ground for air flow

I placed stepping stones around so near by grass wont catch on fire.

Customize how you would like.

In the near future, I would like to continue with stepping stones around to slow down mosquito's
