How to Crochet a Easy and Cute Caterpillar

For this project your just need 3 different colors, I used green, white, and grey. You will also need a crochet needle and stuffing. And you can either add plastic eyes or embroider your own eyes onto it.

And these are the abbreviations

sc- single crochet

dec- decrease

scdec- single crochet decrease

mr- magic ring

And the parenthesis () is how much stitches you should have at the end of that step

2. inc each stitch (12)

3. Sc, inc until you reach (18)

4. 2sc, inc till (24)

5-9. sc even (24)

10. 2sc, dec till (18)

11. sc, dec till (12)

Add the eyes

You can start stuffing it now

12. dec each stitch (6)

Finish it off and hide the strings

Make 4 of these 2 of them different colors

And begin stuffing

finish off and leave a long tail then take your crochet needle to weave into the stitches then pull tightly and leave the tail of string to crochet onto each other

After finishing the head and the bodies use your crochet needle to connect them all together

Your going to make 8 of these

1. chain 4

2. turn skip first stitch and crochet 3

3. slip stitch into the first stitch

finish off and leave a long tail

Now use your crochet needle to crochet them onto the body. Crochet them in between each part of the body including in between the head and the first body piece

This step can be a little more difficult

So first your going to just chain 5, then do a magic ring of three and connect it to the chain of 5 then connect it to the head.

And then you are done once all your pieces are connected.
