Have you ever wondered what they’re crying about? There could be a million reasons! Trust me I have a lot of experience and the best thing to do is calm them down! Lastly, a positive attitude!

First, you’ll probably start panicking, but the best thing to do is approach in a calm and orderly fashion. After carefully approaching, you’ll want to try giving him/her a little snack from their snack cup! Or just a snack in general, because. . . Who can live on an empty stomach!?

Distraction

Secondly, you should give him/her a toy of their pick. The best way to know what toy will make them tidy is to let them decide! What you want to do is; take some of their favorite toys at least 3-5 and line them up in a row. Then, take yourself and the toddler about an arm’s length away and perform an RTT (Release The Toddler). It may take a while for your toddler to get the idea, but once they do. . . It’s time to unleash your evil plan!

P.S Distraction is key.

Everyone Needs a Tidy Environment!

Thirdly, once your toddler is occupied you need to work fast, as it does not last. Now, if you want a happy toddler, you need a clean environment and a bit of space for your toddler to run around. Try to do it as fast as possible. As you probably know, when you’re cleaning toddlers like to ‘Help’, and by help, I mean to try and tear it all apart. You and your toddler will probably feel a lot more secure when it’s clean. I mean, everyone needs a tidy environment!

Relaxation

Next, you probably would like time to relax. I mean, cleaning while your toddler is tearing it apart can be brutal. So, if your toddler is still distracted go grab a cup of coffee, a cup of tea, anything you need to bring your sanity back up. But, you may want to make the most of it, as it’s time to get back into action!

Time to Think Fast!

Time to think fast!

Fifthly, you’ll close your eyes thinking everything is fine, but then, boom. Screeching, crying, you find yourself jolting up and looking around the room. Well, stay calm and follow these steps. First, pick up the child and this is where I can only tell you to stay calm, rock him/her in your arms, shush him/her, and place your forehead gently on his/her head. Hopefully, that’ll somewhat calm them down. One tip, Do Not Place them Down. Placing them down can result in yet another tantrum. So, now you need to multitask. In the next step, It’ll tell you how!

How to Multitask in a Sticky Situation!

Sigh, multitasking can be difficult. Especially when you're holding an upset toddler and trying to gather all your ways to bond. Well, try to think you’re holding a baby animal that you just don’t want to let go no matter how cute it is! Once you’ve gathered all the toys, start playing with him/her. Look at the happiness on their face, how all the sadness can turn into so much joy. . . Your toddler thanks you for all the cheer you brought to them. You should feel so very proud of yourself.

Backfired?

Hopefully, I was able to help you, if I couldn’t then maybe ask your guardian, or if you’re the parent, try putting grumpy pants for a little nap.

Ending!
