How to Do Ibd Gel Nails
The ibd gel nails were founded in 1970; ibd was originally named International Beauty Distributors. The company’s signature product was 5 Second Nail, and later became a pioneer in gel technology, with one of the first professional gel systems used in the industry. American International Industries acquired ibd in 2002.
Have you ever gone to the salon to get your nails done? It's expensive isn't it. Well, I am going to show you how to do ibd gel nails that you can paint or leave them the way you did them. There are 3 different kinds of gel: white, clear and pink. The pink one is if you're doing French tips; the clear works for that too. The white one is if you're going to paint them.
Supplies
Supplies needed for gel nails:
- Nail tips
- Nail glue
- Nail file
- Gel brush
- Gel
Before You Begin
Before you begin the service both client and nail tech will wash their hands and dry them completely
Make sure your table is disinfected before and set up with a disposable towel on top of a regular towel. Then set up all your supplies in a neat order.
Prep the Nails
using a 180 grit file lightly file the surface of the natural nail in one direction to remove the shine.
wipe off dust using a dry wipe.
apply a dehydrator to the natural nail, it will remove the oil.
Add Nail Tips With Glue
Will need nail tips and nail glue. Glue the tips on they arrange in sizes 0-11. File nails down as needed and cut down as needed.
Add Gel to Nails
Add a clear layer of builder Gel with a Gel brush start close to the cuticle but not on it. apply toward the free edge. make sure you cap the end of the nail at the end of the nail at the free edge. if there is any gel on the skin wipe it off beofe you add it to the light.
Put Nails Into the Light
Put the nails in the light; you will do it for three minutes at a time; it will cure the nails, and when they are hard, do not touch the nail with your finger using the back of the brush, then put them back in the light for the time needed.
Paint Them or Leave Them
use oil or paint if desired i personally like the french tip nails.
