How to Draw a Fleur De Lis

I am showing how to draw a simple fleur-de-lis. If you are like me and love doodling to keep your mind focused then this drawing is a great one to learn. I draw this often and it just something beautiful and satisfying to look at. Fleur-de-lis is derived from France and it has a very powerful meaning, through this legend the fleur-de-lis came to symbolize life, perfection, and light. Clovis' use of the fleur-de-lis as a symbol of his successful reign carried on throughout the years, but was adopted officially by the French monarchy in the twelfth century.

For this tutorial, I will only be using a pencil and lined paper. You can defiantly get creative and use various items for this drawing.

Start with you blank sheet of paper.

Draw two lines looking like the picture.

Draw two identical lines on each side of your first step drawing.

Draw a rectangle underneath the first two steps, then make a mirror version of it underneath.

Then draw two straight lines in the middle two, after draw two lines in the outside wings.
