How to Easily Remove a Label Off a Wine Bottle
I have created THE EASIEST instructable to remove a label off a wine bottle. I searched the web for the quickest and easiest way and found nothing. So after much trial and error of trying different methods I discovered 6 easy steps in which to quickly remove labels without the waiting time and mess. Enjoy!!!
Fill Your Pot
Use your largest pot and add about 2-3 inches of water.
Boil Water
On medium/high heat boil water.
Add Water to Your Bottle
Fill your bottle 1/4 of the way full of water so it doesn't float.
Boiling Your Bottle
Lay your bottle down on the side in which you want to remove the label. You can add 1-2 bottles each time you do the boiling process to cut down on time. Boil your bottle for 5-8 minutes. I have found the longer the better but some labels come off very quickly so keep repeating the process based on individual results.
Scrape Your Bottle
Using care, remove your bottle from the boiling water and place into sink. Immediately after removing use a flat object such as a kitchen knife and carefully scrape your bottle from top to bottom. I choose a sharp flat kitchen knife for this process as it seems to work best.
Wash You Bottle
After you have completely scraped the label off you can at this time simply use a sponge or steel wool and some dish washing soap to finish cleaning off the glue and left over label. I prefer using steel wool but the rough side of a sponge works just as well.
VOILA!!!
And Voila!!! After these very easy steps you have a perfect clean wine bottle for any project!! Enjoy!!!
