How to Fix a Shovel

I broke my shovel handle, trying to pry out a rock. Here is how to fix it:

1 - Cut off old handle pin

2 - Tap out old handle with a hammer

3 - Soak end of new handle in hot water for 10 minutes to make it more flexible

4 - Pound in new handle with a hammer

5 - Drill a hole for new handle pin

6 - Push in new handle pin

7 - Hammer end of pin flat to keep it from falling out.

8 - Done!
