How to Import a Drawing to Glowforge
First you create a drawing of your choice! Make sure you keep it nice and simple so the Glowforge app can understand what you are giving it. Once done with the drawing go over it with a thin sharpie to make sure the lines are dark enough for the Glowforge to understand. Try not to leave any pencil marks left over!
~For Example Look At Picture Above~
Supplies
- Paper
- Pencil
- Thin Sharpie
- Glowforge (Laser cutter)
Now that you have finished your drawing you will use the computer interface that Glowforge uses at: "app.glowforge.com"
Sign in with an account you would like to use! Once this step is completed then there will be a button that says "Create". You will click on that, then there will be a button that says "New Blank Design" that you will also choose.
Once this is completed you will place your picture inside of the laser-cutter and click the blue plus sign that is one of the options at the top of the screen. Then there will be an option that says "Trace". You will press that and then follow the instructions it gives you. There is also this cool option that if you double click where you want the laser cutter to cut, then it won't just engrave it will actually cut wherever you double clicked! Then once you have followed the instructions you will press the button in the top right corner that says "Place Artwork". Then your artwork will be ready to be used as either an engrave or cut, depending on what your particular project requires.
~I hope this helped!~
