We are learning how to jump a car since it seems to be a thing a lot of people do not know how to do.

Supplies

Jumper Cables.JPG

You need two cars: A car that works and the car that needs jumped along with jumper cables.

You must turn the car on of the car that is properly working

Hoods up.JPG

Pop and prop the hoods of both cars since that is where the batteries are located for these two vehicles

If your battery has a hood you must remove it to show the battery.

The hood for the battery is removed

Positive battery cable.JPG

Put the positive jumper cable which may be red or in this case orange and put it on the positive terminal on the car that is working first.

Bad positive cable.JPG

Put the positive cable on the positive terminal of the battery on the car that needs to be jumped.

Negative battery cable.JPG

Put the negative jumper cable on the negative terminal on the car that works

Bad negative cable.JPG

Put the negative jumper cable on a metal part of the car on the car that needs to be jumped. You put it on a metal part of the car so it does not cause any sparks to ignite or damage to the battery.

Bad car.JPG

Put the keys into the car that is being jumped

Bad car on.JPG

Turn the car on to see if it is jumped.
