How to Make Brazilian Carrot Cake #HMS2018
This is how you make Brazilian Carrot Cake.
Materials and Ingredients You Will Need
- 4 Large carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
- 4 Eggs
- 1 Cup of cooking oil
- 2 Cups of white sugar
- 2 Cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 Tablespoon of baking powder
For Chocolate Covering:
- 2 Tablespoons of butter or margarine
- 1 Cup of white sugar
- 1 Cup of instant hot chocolate mix
- 3/4 cup of milk
Blending and Mixing
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish. Place the eggs, carrots, sugar, and oil into a blender. Let it blend for about 2 minutes. Pour the carrot mix into a mixing bowl. Stir in the flour and baking powder and mix it until its well blended. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Baking
Put the baking dish in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. To see if the cake is well cooked, lightly insert a fork in the middle and if the fork comes out clean, that means cake is ready and well cooked.
Making the Chocolate Icing
While the cake is baking, make the icing by placing the butter, 1 cup of sugar, instant hot chocolate mix, and milk in a pan. While stirring, heat the stove to almost boiling over medium-high heat until the mixture thickens. When the cake is done, remove the pan from the oven and immediately spread the icing evenly over the top. Let it cool down a little unless you want a extremely hot cake in your mouth. And BOOM You are done.
