How to Make Chaat Papdi

IMG_7061.JPG

Chaat papdi is a very famous street food item in North India. It personally is one of my very favorites. I love all kinds of chaat and this combines all the chaats together. This item is sweet and spicy and looks mouth-watering. So here's how you can make chaat papdi at home without any trouble. Enjoy!

Ingredients

•potato; boiled, peeled, and chopped
•garbanzo beans
•mint and coriander chutney/sauce
•plain yogurt mixed with sugar
•sweet tamarind dates chutney/sauce

For Garnishing
•fried gram flour vermicelli
•boondi
•cilantro; finely chopped

First, assemble the papdis or baked flour crackers on a plate.

Next, take the chopped potato and slightly smash it in your hand as you are putting them on top of the papdis. Take some and go around the plate dropping them on the papdis in the process.

Now, take the garbanzo beans and put them on the plate as if you are garnishing. Take some in your hand and go around the plate dropping them on the potatoes during the process.

Next, take some yogurt and kind of drizzle it on the papdis.

Then, take some of the sweet tamarind sauce and drizzle it on the papdis like you did with the yogurt.

Now take the mint chutney and drizzle it on the padis like you did in the past two steps.

Now it's the time to garnish! Take some sev or fried gram flour vermicelli and go around the plate dropping some in the process, like you did with the potatoes and beans.
