How to Make Chex Mix

Hi, my name is Josline. This recipe will have people begging for more. This is an easy recipe for family gatherings or picnics. I’m going to show you how to make Chex mix in 5 easy steps. With this recipe, it is gone in 5 minutes. 

Supplies

. You’ll need 5 tablespoons of butter. 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 4 cups rice Chex cereal. 2 cups wheat Chex cereal. 1 cup pretzels. 1 cup cheese crackers, 1 1/2 cups plain peanuts, or honey-roasted peanuts.

Mix Seasoning

After gathering all the ingredients, you’ll need a large bowl, a slow cooker (crockpot), and measuring cups. First, combine the butter, soy sauce, garlic and onion powder to the crockpot and turn it on low. You can stir them together if you would like but you don’t need to.

Mix Dry Ingredients

Meanwhile, toss the rice Chex, wheat Chex, pretzels, cheese crackers, and peanuts into the large bowl and mix. 

Mix the Seasoning and Dry Ingredients Together

After all the dry ingredients are mixed, pour the dry ingredients into the crockpot with the seasonings and mix.

Put cover on and cook on low for 1 or 2 hours stirring every 45 minutes to make sure all of it is seasoned well. 

Let Cool

About a half hour before serving remove the cover of the slow cooker and continue cooking for 30 minutes or until toasty. You can also turn the cooker off and eat them cooled if you would like.
