How to Make Dahlia Petal Earrings
Hello everybody,
A while back we showed you how to make a dahlia brooch. Now we would like to show you how you can make matching earrings. The materials you need are: Nespresso capsules, we used the purple one (Arpeggio), a circle punch (we used the brand Heyda,) earring hooks (beadshops or the internet), connecter loops, 2 metal flowers, scissors, jewelers tools, flat nosed pliers, round nosed pliers and cutting pliers
Check Out the Video
As a first step check out the video which shows you how to make the circle around the dahlia petal
Prepare Your Petals
You need to cut of the top and the bottom of your coffee pod. Afterwards use a pencil to flatten the piece. This makes it easier to punch out the circles. Now use your circle punch to punch out 2 circles. Fold the circles in 4 pieces. Use a flat nosed plier to fold two sides as shown. Hereafter fold in the middle again to obtain you Dahlia petal. Repeat this step 2 times
Prepare Your Circles
Cut around the border of your coffee pod, is close to it as possible. Take a tube around 3 mm in diameter. Cut it open. Measure how much you need and than add it to the inside of the circle. Repeat 2 times.
Construct Your Earrings
Pierce the circle. Attach the little flower but above and the petal on the inside of the circle. Hereafter add the earring hook. Repeat this step and your earrings are done. We hope you like the Instructable.
