How to Make Duct Tape Shoelaces

Are you tired of the flimsy shoelaces that always break or fray at the tips? Then you need duct tape to do the job! Duct tape is sturdy and won't fray, resulting in shoelaces that will last much longer! This is my first Instructable, so I'm still working on perfecting my skills as an "Instructor". Please feel free to leave comments!

1) Duct Tape
2) Scissors (or hands that can rip duct tape)

Cut a continuous strip of duct tape that is 3 feet long.

Rip/Cut the strip into 2 equal pieces the long way. You should end up with two pieces of duct tape that are 3 feet long.

Fold each strip of duct tape over itself so that there is still a little bit of sticky showing. Don't fold it over entirely, just until there is a third or so of the sticky part still showing. Fold the still sticky part on top of the non sticky part, making it so that no raw edges are showing on the sides. Cut the ends of each lace (totaling 4 ends) at a slight diagonal for style, if desired. If you want, you can fold a small piece of tape over the end (the diagonal part that you just cut), resulting in a more sturdy end.
