How to Make Flan
How to make flan a delicious baked caramel dessert.
Gather Your Ingredients
You Will Need
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 saucepan
- 1 baking dish
- Aluminum foil
- (Optional) Reddi wip
Making the Caramel Sauce
*Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Pour sugar in a saucepan over medium heat
Stir constantly until it becomes a liquid
Remove from heat and spread a thin layer of carmel on the sides of the saucepan
Leave to cool (5 minutes)
Blend Ingredients
Blend the evaporated milk, condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla extract for about 30 seconds
Pour the mixture into the saucepan and cover with aluminum foil
BaƱo Maria - Water Bath
Place a baking dish in the oven
Place the saucepan in the baking dish
Pour water into the baking dish until it reaches halfway up the saucepan
Bake
Leave to bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes
Insert a knife in the flan and if it comes out clean it's done
Refrigerate
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours
Serve and Enjoy!
Transfer to a flat plate and enjoy
(optional) Top with whipped cream
