How to Make Mincemeat Whirls
These are a great festive treat with the great taste of mincemeat mixed with a whirl of puff pastry.
Preheat your oven to: 200 C / gas mark 6
Gather these ingredients:
500g puff pastry
small jar of mincemeat
1 egg yolk (optional but reccomended)
Handful of self raising flour
Optional: Cinnamon
Makes about 13

The Puff
Spread the flour over your workspace, roll out the flour so it is relatively rectangular. I made mine about 0.9cm thick.
Mincemeat
Spread your mincemeat onto the rolled out pastry.
Rolling
Roll the mincemeat and pastry up and seal with a bit of egg yolk or water.
Cutting
Cut into slices.
Baking
Put onto tray and paint with egg yolk.
Bake for 10-15 mins until golden brown!
Optional: Sprinkle some cinnamon over them (Thanks to Lemonie)
