These Dog Enrichment Toys are filled with treats which fall out as your dog rolls the toy.

Materials:

1 foot of 2'' PVC Pipe or 8'' of 1.5'' PVC Pipe

2 FIPT Fittings (To match your PVC pipe size)

2 ABS DWV MIPT Cleanout Plugs (To match fitting size)

You will also need:

5/8 inch Drill Bit

Drill

File / Sandpaper

Glue (optional)

Drill Holes in PVC Pipe

If using 1.5 inch pipe: Drill 5 Holes in PVC pipe using 5/8 inch drill bit

If using 2 inch pipe: Drill 6 Holes in PVC pipe using 5/8 inch drill bit

Note: Don't drill to close to edge of PVC pipe as FIPT fitting may cover the hole later

Attach FIPT Fittings

Attach FIPT fittings onto the ends of the PVC pipe segment. If necessary, glue into place.

Remove All Burrs

Remove all burrs. Smooth edges out using file and/or sandpaper. You should be able to run your finger around the inside of the holes without getting scratched.

Screw on Cleanout Plugs

Screw the cleanout plugs into the FIPT fittings. These will be used to keep the dog treats from falling out of the sides.

Enjoy!

Add your dog treats (unscrew cleanout plugs to put in) and it's ready for play! Choose treats that are small enough to fall through the holes you made in the dog toy.
