Fill the bottom pot of the double boiler with water and the top pot with the chocolate and paraffin wax. (If you don’t have a double boiler put the chocolate in a pot or microwavable bowl and melt it. Be careful not to burn the chocolate).

Turn on the stove and melt your chocolate. Make sure to stir it so it doesn’t burn.

Once the chocolate has melted stick 3 to 4 peanut butter balls in the double boiler (or pot/microwavable bowl). Roll the balls around until they are coated with chocolate and scoop them out with your slotted spoon and set them on the wax paper.

Let the peanut butter balls cool.

Enjoy!

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day we decided to drizzle red over the balls for decoration. This isn’t a normal step so it isn’t necessary but I will include the steps. Ingredients and supplies are listed above.

Mix ½ cup of powdered sugar with 1 tbsp. of milk. (You may need to add more milk so you get the consistency that you want. Add a splash of milk at a time).

image.jpg
Once you have reached the consistency you want add red food coloring. You can add as much as you want depending on how deep you want the color red.

Scoop and spoon full of the mixture and wave it back and forth about the peanut butter balls. There is no technique and no way to mess this step up so just have fun!
