How to Make Puppy Chow

Gather Your Ingredients and Tools
Buy your Ingredients:
3/4 Cup of Peanut Butter
1 1/4 Cup of Chocolate Chips
1/4 Cup of Butter
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
9 Cups (or 13.8 ounces) of Rice Chex (crispix) or Honey Chex Cereal
3 Cups of Powdered Sugar
Collect your Tools:
2 Bowls
1 Large Ziploc Bags (preferably the kind that have a slider to zip it shut)
1 Microwave
1 Spatula
1 Large Spoon

1 1/4 Cup of Chocolate Chips
1/4 Cup of Butter
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
9 Cups (or 13.8 ounces) of Rice Chex (crispix) or Honey Chex Cereal
3 Cups of Powdered Sugar
Collect your Tools:

1 Large Ziploc Bags (preferably the kind that have a slider to zip it shut)
1 Microwave
1 Spatula
1 Large Spoon
Melt the Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Butter
Melt the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter in the microwave for 1 minute.
If desired, soften the butter before microwaving by placing it in room temperature for 2-3 minutes.
Be sure to watch the ingredients in the microwave to make sure everything melts but does not burn or overspill.

Stir Until Smooth
Take out the mixture and stir until smooth and even (about 2-3 minutes.)
If the mixture is chunky after stirring, heat it in the microwave for another 15-30 seconds and stir again until smooth.

Add Vanilla
Add vanilla into the mixture and stir it in.
Pour the Chex and Mixture
Pour the Chex into a bowl and add the mixture to it.
Stir It Together
Stir the Chex and mixture until the Chex is well covered in chocolate peanut butter.
It may not appear to have enough mixture, but keep stirring thoroughly for 3-5 minutes.
If the Chex is still not coated to the desired amount, melt an additional small bowl of chocolate, peanut butter, and butter and add it to the Chex.

Scoop It Into a Bag
Scoop the Chex mixture into a plastic bag and add powdered sugar.
Shake and Pour Out
Shake the bag well until the powdered sugar covers all of the Chex. Then, pour the contents into a bowl.
