How to Make Your Own Knitted Bunny
Hi my name is MacKenzie Shankey. I am a creative person who makes crafts all the time. I am able to help you feel more creative and more confident in your crafting abilities. Today, I am going to show you 9 easy steps on how to make your own cuddly knitted bunny. In the past I have even sold things that I have made, people still request items from me from time to time.
Supplies
Yarn in at least 2 colors, Knitting needles, Embroidery needle or yarn needle, scissors, and stuffing
Knit a perfect square to begin with. To do this start by making a slip knot and casting on 25 stitches. Then knit until you have a square. Once you have a square it is time to cast off.
Next fold the square in half and weave yarn in the middle going with the rows. Then on either side of the line that you have made make a line diagonally to the top middle and then to the other side to make a triangle. Make sure you don’t tie off or cut the extra yarn from making the triangle we need it to make the head. The next thing you will do is put about a golf ball sized piece of stuffing in the triangle and then pull the string tight to make the head. After that you will sew the back of your bunny and put about 2 ½ to 3 golf balls worth of stuffing in the torso, next sew the bottom shut.
The last thing you need to do is use your embroidery needle or your yarn needle to make the eyes and nose. If you want you can sew on buttons for the eyes and nose instead. So to make the eyes and nose by embroidering them on you will need to find the appropriate places for them to go. Once you do you can embroider the eyes and nose. Or if you wish to use buttons you may do so.
