How to Make a Beanie
We are showing how to make two styles of beanie.
1) Full color
2) Two tone with pom pom

All of these fabrics can be used to make beanies. It really comes down to personal preference.
Trace and Cut
-Place the pattern on the fold of the fabric.
-Trace the pattern and cut out.
-Keep in mind the trace points on the folded edge. They should match up the opposite side.
Sewing Long Side
-With the right sides together. Sew the long edge from peak to peak.
-You will want a tight strong stitch to prevent tread break during daily use.
Flip Right Side Out
-Take the beanie and flip it in half with the right sides out.
-Line up the peaks for sewing.
Sew Opposite of Fold
-Start by sewing the opposite peak as the folded side.
-Make sure you sew all the layers.
Sew Across Top
-Next you will want to sew across the top of the beanie end to end.
-This will close the top of the beanie.
Flip Right Side Out
-Flip the right side and you are all done with first style of beanie!
Beanie #2
-Trace and cut two separate fabrics.
-Then cut those two in half horizontally.
Sew Across Horizontally
-Place the right sides together and sew across horizontally.
Sew Vertically
-Fold vertically with right sides together.
-Sew vertically from peak to peak.
Flip Right Side Out
-Take the beanie and flip it in half with the right sides out.
-Line up the peaks for sewing.
Sew Opposite of Fold
-Start by sewing the opposite peak as the folded side.
-Make sure you sew all the layers.
Sew Across Top
-Next you will want to sew across the top of the beanie end to end.
-Leave a small gap in the center of the top. This will be closed off when you add the pom pom.
Adding Pom Pom
-Pom poms with have a long loop near the bottom. This loop is for attaching.
-find the loop and feed it though the top center of the beanie.
-Hold in place with fingers or pins.
Sew Pom Pom
-With all the layers together and the pom pom loop in center opening.
-Sew across the opening. Closing off the gap and securing the pom pom down.
