Supplies
- Colored cardstock
- Permanent markers
- Scissors
- Pencil
Cut the Cardstock
Begin by cutting a square piece of colored cardstock. A size of 8x8 cm (3x3 inches) works well, but you can adjust the size according to your preference.
Fold the Paper
Fold the square diagonally to create a triangle. Make a sharp crease along the fold, then unfold the paper.
Starting from the mid-point, fold down the points on either side, leaving a small gap at the bottom. Aim for symmetry as you fold.
Next, unfold each side and perform an inside reverse fold along the same creases. This action brings the point down in between the front and back of the model. Fold the bottom triangle up, creasing to the points on either side.
Fold the Edges
Now, you'll notice that the bottom flap is slightly larger than the triangle behind it. To prepare for tucking it into that space later, fold down the edges to make it smaller. Aim to match the size of the flap to the triangle behind it. If needed, you can fold a bit more, ensuring the flap is now smaller than the triangle behind it.
Once you've adjusted the flap, unfold it with the slightly narrowed flap on the top. Reverse the crease and fold that flap down. Then, fold the bottom point up to the center. Don't worry if the edges don't perfectly match the creases on the side; it's okay. You can see the photos, they give you a much clear vision of the movements.
Finish the Bookmark
Add some details to it as you want. Your "biting" corner bookmark is now complete! To use it, simply slide the corner of a book page into the mouth, allowing the teeth to grip onto the page. Enjoy your reading with this playful and unique bookmark adding a touch of fun to your book!
